The curriculum in Key Stage 4 (Years 10 & 11) gives students some choice but within an overall framework that ensures they enjoy a broad and balanced education. All students follow a common core of subjects and supplement this with four option choices.

Year 10

Equivalent weekly totals

In Year 10 students have 3 hours for each of the sciences over 2 weeks plus 1 hour Science tutorial. This means that they have a total of 5 hours per week in the sciences. Students are set in English, Mathematics and Science.

Year 11

In Year 11 there is an increase of English teaching by ½ hour and an increase in Science by 1 hour per week.
