Getting to school
The school is popular and, due to our rural location, our students travel from as far away as Newark and Lincoln. Many live nearby and can walk to school, but for those who live further away, there are excellent school transport services provided by Lincolnshire County Council. Some of our students travel by train, for which the station is conveniently located just beyond the school walls; a few minutes walk. The majority travel to school by bus and most of these pick up and drop off either at Sleaford train station or the town market square. As the school is located in the centre of the town, these locations are all easily accessible.
A high standard of behaviour on school transport is always expected from our pupils and friendships are often made between students who travel together. If there are any concerns, then please do contact the bus company or the school.
For all new students, a copy of the Lincolnshire County Council booklet about home to school transport is included with the pack following application to the school. For all enquiries, including the application form and further information, we direct you to the county council’s website where the transport department’s contact details can be found.
Jermyn Street, upon which the school is located, can be very busy at the start and end of the school day. We ask that all visitors to the school are vigilant; please take great care when driving in the area, especially around these times of the day. Students should also be careful when crossing roads and we remind them, for their own safety, always to use the pavements.
