  • Festive peace chain

    Published 19/12/23

The Personal Development session on Friday 8 December was for students to create a school ‘Peace Chain’ with messages of peace written by each individual. There has been much unrest and difficulty over the last year and we wanted a focus on positivity in society as 2023 comes to an end and 2024 begins. The Peace Chains from each form were joined together to make a whole school chain, demonstrating that when we all work together for a common goal, we can affect great change in society. Our challenge to our students in 2024 is to be the change that they want to see and to act on their message of peace however they can. All students who took part were awarded a House Point for their contribution.

These Growth Mindset nominations recognise those who show resilience (academic or otherwise); who aren’t afraid to get things wrong and learn from it; those who have a go, take themselves out of their comfort zone or show that even if a task is tough, they will persevere.

  • Box Clever visit KSHS

    Published 20/10/23

Box Clever visited KSHS on Tuesday, as they have done for many years now, but this time, they performed their version of Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol’.

The performance was met with delight and excitement as the actors created an abridged, slightly modernised, and yet faithful to the text performance which required audience participation. There was no lack of willing volunteers.
