Jemima Crowned Midlands Rotary Young Chef Champion

Jemima’s culinary journey reached an exciting new high last night as she was crowned Midlands Champion in the 'Rotary Young Chef of the Year' competition, following a nail‑biting regional final held at Stafford College.
The Kesteven & Sleaford High School talented young chef has been on an impressive winning streak since September, cooking her way through every stage of the competition. She secured victory in the local heat in September, went on to triumph in the district final in November, and continued her momentum with another win at the cluster final in March.

Her success has been proudly supported by members of the Rotary Club of Sleaford, who have followed her progress closely. Several club representatives travelled to Stafford to cheer her on, joining Jemima’s mum, grandma, and her teacher, Mrs Pankhurst, for what proved to be a tense and thrilling evening.
Their support was rewarded when Jemima was announced as the Midlands overall winner, earning her a coveted place in the National Finals, which will be held in Cheshire this April.
If she secures victory there, Jemima will go on to represent the UK at the European Finals in Italy, a remarkable achievement for a young chef already demonstrating extraordinary promise.
For now, all eyes turn to April as KSHS staff and students wish her the very best of luck.
Good luck Jemima – we’re all cheering for you!
