In recognition of the climate change summit in Glasgow, tutors have been discussing some of the causes and impacts of climate change with their forms. They have discussed the ‘Greenhouse Effect’, why global temperatures are rising and why it matters.

In Geography lessons these ideas are being developed further with students being encouraged to debate and think about how they as individuals can reduce their carbon footprint. The Key Stage 4 and 5 Geographers are also considering the vulnerability of certain communities to climate change, alongside issues of climate and social injustice. Students at Earth Club designed a wall display with ideas and pledges to try and mitigate against climate change.
