The Conflict in Ukraine

Tutor times this week have included the chance for students in all years to learn about the situation in the Ukraine.

In a rapidly changing landscape students have had a chance to ask questions, discuss and learn about the context of Russia’s invasion. We are conscious that we have students who have extended family currently in Kyiv and also students with Russian heritage. We are here to support them during this worrying time as well as supporting students of Armed Forces families whose parents/carers or relatives are currently away from home or involved in the response to the conflict.

Students have been able to make practical contributions by bringing in urgently needed supplies of blankets, candles, clothing and nappies.  Thanks to one of our parents who has family living in the Ukraine. He has passed these to a Ukranian contact who is driving across Europe to deliver them this weekend.

Please do get in touch at enquiries@kshs.uk if you’d like us to be aware of any support your child might benefit from: either as part of our Forces Club or as part of day to day tutor support.
