Music, Drama and Art feature strongly in the wide range of extra curricular activities the school offers. Many students are learning to play an instrument and they give performances at the concerts hosted by the academy. There are numerous bands and choirs which attract pupils of all ages, giving them the chance to work and perform together. The Guides meet every Thursday and, besides all the usual activities, our guides have been working with a school in the Gambia, designing and are providing the equipment for the school’s playground. This is typical of the altruistic outlook that our pupils have. There are frequent money raising events for a wide variety of charities, ranging from the annual school walk to cake stalls and ‘civvies days’. These events are usually planned and organised by the pupils themselves.
There are many other activities going on, too numerous to describe in detail but including the annual school performance, Italian lessons, history and art clubs, mathematics team competitions, young journalist academy, Duke of Edinburgh award scheme, youth parliament, mock trial and jury competitions and much more. We are also open to any reasonable ideas the girls may have.
