The House System

An important part of life at Kesteven and Sleaford High School Selective Academy, is the house to which each student belongs. Upon application to the academy, students are allocated to one of our four houses, which are named after Viking and Saxon voting areas of North Kesteven:

Students can then earn Merit Points which count towards the total for their house. Various competitions take place throughout the year covering a wide variety of subjects from spelling bees to sport events and talent competitions. The ‘hakka’ competition takes place each sports day which joins the annual award of the house cup as one of the highlights of the year.
